Jackie Kennedy needed a break from her life. She just learned about an entire family she knew nothing about. Then, to top things off, she also recently came face-to-face, along with a few other body parts, with Denny O’Toole. Denny, now an FBI agent and the same jerk who, years earlier at college, had stolen her heart, along with her virtue, and then without a word left to return to Ireland. Jackie vowed never to fall for Denny or his lying Irish eyes again. However, within minutes of seeing Denny again after so many years had passed, Jackie’s heart quickly betrayed her. The years slipped away, and they soon found they couldn’t keep their hands off one another. Only too bad that it had all happened before and not after Jackie found out that Denny was a married man.

Jackie decided the best thing to do was to step away from everything and everybody, and thought a road trip would be just what she needed. However, a couple hours on the road with two tiny monkeys and one large dog, had Jackie rethinking her “bright” idea of offering to “monkey sit” and taking them all on a road trip with her.

Then, after driving for miles to find a place to make an emergency stop in Tennessee, Jackie does a double take when she reads a sign that says she is now entering Bumfuk County. After finally finding a motel, Jackie meets Holly, who runs the motel and is also the owner of Bumfuk Farms, located behind the motel, where Holly runs an orphanage, a crisis center, and a retirement home…for animals.

To Jackie’s delight, her tiny companions loved being at the farm. Jackie, on the other hand, being a “big city” girl…not so much, but decides to take Holly up on her offer of a tour. Only after getting rammed in the behind by a goat, bitten by two roosters, attacked by a mob of angry ducks, and landing in a big pile of what she really hopes is mud, Jackie decides she’s seen enough of Bumfuk farms.

However, after feeling ill, Jackie decides to visit Dr. Hansley, a local doctor that Holly highly recommended and the only doctor in the small town of Bumfuk. While there, Jackie not only discovers that Dr. Hansley is a veterinarian, but she also discovers news that will alter more than just her road trip. Jackie doesn’t know it yet, but she is about to lose much more than just her peace of mind.
